A little About Me

Shane Buckner

My name is Shane Buckner, and I am grateful for your interest in my art. I am a self-taught photographer, predominantly working on large format landscape and nature based photographic prints. Besides prints, I photograph weddings, portraits, and still life. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I currently reside there with my wonderful wife, Korinne, and infant son, James.

Following my undergraduate schooling at Texas A&M I moved back to Houston as a software engineer. I quickly discovered that I loved filling my free time with photography. Throughout my photographic journey, I have found that the brunt of my passion is creating photographs that capture the awesome beauty of nature through landscape scenes.

As a landscape photographer, my purpose is to best present unique and wonderful views of this world by crafting my own blend of composition, subject, and lighting. The collection of galleries found here represent the views I found worthy of sharing through various print formats.

I am located in the Clear Lake/League City area southeast of Houston but am always ready to plan the next trip to capture more photographs!
